RF Welding

Radio Frequency (RF) welding (also known as high frequency welding) is widely used for welding PVC and other polar materials together. Universal Converting Equipment has developed fully automatic processing equipment for producing medical and other products. RF welding is a complex process and must be precisely controlled to ensure that the energy is contained within the sealing area. Digital generators provide precise control of input and return energies allowing the welding conditions of each product to be measured and recorded.

The RF welding stations are normally incorporated into fully automated assembly lines which will have many other different processes.

Typical Applications:

  • Urine Drainage Bags

  • Ostomy Pouches

  • Welding PVC components

  • Welding PVOH

  • Medical Devices
